So what makes our awards special?

The Social Change Awards are for all those working to achieve a positive change in society - individuals, charities, community groups, companies, public bodies. Please note that nominations have closed for 2009.

You don't have to be a charity to apply... whether you're applying as an individual, an informal group, a company, a public body OR a charity; if you are passionate about social change then there is a category for you.

The ceremony - forget linen table cloths and hefty ticket prices - this will be an inclusive, fun and informal event with inspiring speakers and some great stories from entrants.

The application - you can nominate yourself (or your own organisation) - a simple process which can be completed in less than 30 minutes. Or it is simple to recommend others. Send us their contact details, tell us why you are nominating them in 200 words or less and we will chase the application.

DSC will then produce a shortlist, three from each category, which will be announced in an online public vote where we ask you to pick the winners. Please note that voting has closed for 2009.
